Jackstraw is a game where you simply pick up sticks. It may sound easy, but both a steady hand and high concentration are required when the sticks are scattered and tangled. Win by picking the most sticks or read at the bottom of the page for an alternative version!
Collect the sticks and drop them from an upright position into a pile. The first player must then pick up a stick without any other stick moving. If the player succeeds in this, it is still his turn until the pick fails.
After unsuccessful pick-up, the turn passes to the next player. The player who manages to pick up one of the striped sticks may continue to use it as an aid in picking the sticks. The player who collected most sticks when all have been picked up wins.
The one with the highest number of points wins.
Then the following points apply:
Yellow: 3 points
Red: 5 points
Blue: 10 points
Green: 15 points
Striped: 20 points
