A sport for senior citizens only? We don’t think so! Boule is just as fun whatever the age. Combine skill and luck to get as close to the “cochonnet” as possible to score points and win.

Rules

Boules are played in teams against each other which can consist of 1-3 people.

Start the game by tossing a coin to determine who gets to start and throw the cochonnet (the small wooden ball), somewhere between 6-10 meters away from the throwing area. Each team then throws its own ball. The team furthest from the cochonnet throws their balls until they are closest to it and the other team gets to throw.

When all balls have been thrown, the team closest to the cochonnet gets one point for each ball that is closer than the opposing team's best throw. The winners of the round may throw out the cochonnet in the next round. The team that first reaches 13 points wins.
